How do livestock react in a thunderstorm?

If you had animals out in a pasture and there was a thunderstorm, how do they tend to react? Besides going under a tree or something for shelter. Would they be scared? Run around or act different? I know dogs sometimes get scared of thunder and I was just wondering how a cow and pig (also pets) might react. Anyone who has lived on a farm or had these animals as pets might know? Thanks.

Animals are very sensitive to magnetic changes and air presser fluctuations, and yes it could panic them, also sounds beyond our hearing can affect them, even the scent of an approaching storm.

Birds and animals even water life seek shelter or try to flee
if they sense anything out of the ordinary.
If you have 10 chickens all it takes is one to panic and the rest take their ques from the one Individuel, and that goes for all animals, If one is more nervous it sets them all off, they will not wait and see what the problem is.

They can detect slight temperature differences can smell fire, water, navigate and seek out food or predators, due to their heighten senses along time before us, even on humans certain stimuli can make you feel uneasy with out you even realizing.

Hope that helps

Depending on the severity of the the thunderstorm, they might move to a shelter. If it's a disaster that's ABOUT to happen, animals usually behave oddly and will usually refuse to move out of their shelters or they will move to higher grounds.(If it's a flood)Animals, oddly enough, have a sixth sense for sensing disasters.
