Position Objective
As a Consultant, you will be responsible for interacting with clients and prospective customers, helping them understand how Cargill Animal Nutrition can provide solutions for them and improve their profitability. This position will have an emphasis with cattle feeders and cow/calf operators in Northern Central/Northeast Nebraska and Southern South Dakota. Your role will be to grow Cargill’s beef nutrition & consulting business through key dealerships in this geography as well as manage direct relationships with feeders in certain areas.
Summary
As a consultant you will:

  • Establish and build effective customer relationships
  • Work with customers to enhance the profitability of their business
  • Work closely with team members to solve complex customer issues
  • Provide communication between the customer and business management team
  • Build a network with key influencers such as lenders and universities in the area
  • Provide critical input to the business management team

As you demonstrate your knowledge of the business, you may have additional opportunities to lead projects and or manage other sales consultants in the market place. If interested and you demonstrate a proven track record, Cargill Animal Nutrition offers you the flexibility to move into Administrative Management, Production Management or special project assignments based on your interest and personal skill development plan. Required:

  • 3 years of sales experience connected with the beef industry
  • Solid understanding of cattle economics and beef nutrition
